Crossover Trial
A trial design in which each participant receives every treatment in sequence, separated by washout.
Definition
Crossover designs improve statistical power by letting each subject serve as their own control. They require stable conditions and no carryover between treatments — making them unsuitable for interventions with lasting effects.
