Administration
Insulin Syringe
A 1 mL or smaller syringe with a fine needle used for subcutaneous injection.
Definition
Insulin syringes — typically 29–31 gauge — are the standard for subcutaneous peptide injection because the thin needle minimizes tissue trauma. 0.3 mL and 0.5 mL sizes with 0.01 mL graduations are most common.
